School in 1916


On Tuesday the 8th March Tomás O Reilly, former Principal of Scoil Bhríde and local historian came into the school to talk to the children about life in Killeshandra in 1916.
One hundred years ago all children had to learn reading, writing, arithmetic and spelling, girls were taught needlework At break time the boys played football and the girls did skipping.
